The Aperture Line
IRIS EXCLUSIVE · CURATED ESSENTIALS
ATELIER · FROM $580
The Aperture Line is the second generation of Iris's in-house eyewear collection. Designed by Iris founder and senior optician Surinder Bamrah, it carries the Appalachee story forward: the same personal frame names, a familiar design lineage, and the experience of more than four decades spent helping people find eyewear that feels right on the face.
The difference is in the refinement. Aperture revisits the collection with sleeker lines, subtle upgrades, and a renewed attention to fit across a range of face shapes and nose bridges. Premium acetate gives the frames depth, colour, and a satisfying presence, while the names—Surinder, Lizzy, Penny, Babe, Gian, Rasna, and Stella—keep the line rooted in people and memories close to Iris. Aperture is not a restart; it is a more resolved next chapter.

A familiar fit, refined.
WHY IRIS CARRIES IT
Chosen with intent.
No other collection at Iris begins this close to the optical floor. Aperture is built from Surinder's fitting experience and shaped around what the Iris team sees every day: a frame has to make a visual impression, but it also has to earn its place through proportion, bridge position, comfort, and careful adjustment. It is an Iris original, made to be explored with a frame stylist in person.
THE DETAILS
What sets it apart.
01
A second-generation evolution
Aperture retains the meaningful model names and recognisable lineage of Appalachee, then refines the profiles for a cleaner, sleeker expression.
02
Fit considered from the start
The collection is designed with a range of face shapes and nose bridges in mind. An Iris frame stylist will still assess and adjust each frame for the individual wearer.
03
Premium acetate, rich in color
Clear aquas, soft translucent neutrals, jet blacks, and classic tortoise show how material and color give the collection its range of personalities.
